NBK VS. GULF BANK

sup ppl.. ok let me tell u about my adventure with 7tenths this morning, basically we went 2 start applyin for our jobs.. so we had 2 do a million and one things :( and the weather was just amazing .. oh and the best part was that we went in 7tenths's car and on our way his window FELL DOWN !! (CHEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP) so we were drivin with dust in our eyes, teeth, ears, and every other orifice in our bodies ;p
anyways.. so my topic is NBK VS GULF BANK..
my account is with NBK , 7tenths is with Gulf bank.. so we first went 2 gulf bank .. he asked for shahadat ratib, it took them around 25 minutes 2 do his paper work.. then we went 2 NBK , it took me literally 4 minutes 2 get my paper work done :)
so WHY WHY WHY is it that NBK is soo much better than Gulf bank? i mean, better customer service, faster service, in general i feel better services r available at NBK .. do u guys agree? Which is a better bank? im sorry but i know i would never leave NBK for another bank..
P.S. NO OFFENCE TO THOSE BLOGGERS THAT WORK AT GULF BANK :) im expecting hate mail now ;p

I've been dealing with them for 4 years & they never failed me, not even by mistake.
25 minutes for my paper work!! hell! I'd rather go to KFH :&
BTW Gulf Bank folks, I did some marketing for Gulf Bank last year, just to help my cousin reach her target :p

My account is from NBK. I have "el-azraq" account but they called by dad back home when I turned 21 so I can substitute my account with "Al-Shabab" account. Thanks a great consumer service I tell ya ^_^
I never trust a bank with an animal logo, and even never trust a bank which have alien camels landing in Kuwait!
I worked for both, they are both shit.
but as a client NBK of course I would not touch Gulf Bank with a 10 foot pole
NBK is investing alot in customer service department, they know its their first and most important frontier. if i would change my bank one day, i'd go to NBK.

Hmmmmm well i used to b an ex-banker so i have some 1st hand experience. When it comes to NBK, it reputation b/c its 1 of the oldest bank in q8... I dealt with them many times and they never do anything right!!! I had a lot of problems with them that could have been easily avoided. There customer service SUX BIG TIME!!!! oo mo bas chethi, i went to different branches, and non of their employees knew what they were talking about!!! The only goood thing they have is the online banking. Its waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than GBK! Bas looook when it comes to customer service, Gulf Bank is known to b the best!!!

well i like nbk and i think theyre wayyyyy much better and they're also nice, not so nice with the gulf bank people, ya3ni my exerience with gulf bank was anger-enducing, frustrating and useless.

When HSBC 1st opened, they only opened accounts for companies, but i dont know if now they open personal accounts...
Ohh trust me, Im not wrong about GBK customer service. Its 1 of the best! They were awarded for 2yrs in a row for 'best retail banking in the middle East!' Bas ta3al, y should i defend them ana shakooo :P

First of all, your internal time clock is messed up (probably from all the melatonin), I spent 15min max at Gulf, and our stay at NBK was more like 4 minutes :P & for the record I'm not a big fan of GBK, it's just that NBK froze my damn account ages ago and expect me to pay 2KD per month since that prehistoric time to re-open it!
Second of all, thanks for making it sound like I drive a Ladda! It didn't fall down, the window mechanism snapped and the windo sunk in! It can happen to anyone, and I'm not the one with an airleak in my car!
Finally, I love the way you say 'we', since you went home in Snell's car (fearing death from anaphylaxis) and I alone endured the sand onslaught!

Well i have tried nbk gulf and burgan. NBK sucks at being personal, they treat everyone like a bloody number and everything is by the book. I wanted to open an account for my company and i had to go through like so much questions and answers to just open an account! Gulf bank is very much more personal in thier service. they have good standards in going more to get the customer happy even if they have to bend the rules a bit they dont mind. I went to them to open my company account and they did it in 5 mins without all the hassle i had to go through with nbk. Burgan also is very good, i think thier online banking is the best of all three banks.
I do not trust any banks
Gulf Bank was recently awarded the Stevie Award for "best HR team". I bet that means something. :P

Gulf.. well seeming I have a sibling working or worked in one of each of the Major banks I really have no issues with gulf.. except that I prefer Wa6ani..
hmmm someone once told me the girls at Gulf Branches are model material if that counts... but then again when they got an up close and personal look they claimed "good from far, but far from good".. so that was they bes line I heard to discribe the issue.. I wonder if thats gives Gulf points.. inpiring wittiness and sarcasm..

the reason im interested in it is that ive been through that situation when u're walkin in and out of EL CHABRAT malat wezarat el9e77a w both guys are standing against each other waiting for a new employee to catch "shakelhom maskhara w kent 7azzat'ha 3endi accoount bel khaleej w tawni msawwi shahadat rateb bel wa6ani bs in another branch fa lamma yoni getlohom te6ammenaw in a client in both banks..they releived and continued looking for a new victim:P".......anyway to be fair, both are working hard bs 6ab3an due to nbk managements'experience and reputation it's still taking the lead bs gulf bank has some future plans that could make some change...we'll see.
fe bs shi wa7ed i have to say 2 b fair as i said...lamma etyee ta9ref check men el nbk it takes 3 working days to add the money at ur account, while at gulf bank they do it in ten seconds. bs ham ared w agool both are good and im proud of both of them as kuwaiti world class financial institutes.

I would say that I am completely satisfied with my NBK account, more than 6 years and no problems yet!
Well although i work for gulf bank NOW..but frankly speaking all banks here are shit..in comparison with were i used to work(HSBC)..Bassita it was a mistake...anyway if anyone wants anything from GB contact me...:) also i have to achieve my targets...:)
